Zenmandu is a shop for original Himalayan thangka paintings. Lama painters and local artisans make them by hand, often in small family workshops, with techniques passed down through generations. Stone color, gold, cotton. If you hang one at home, you are hanging a piece of that place too.
Pay the listed price, or bid higher. The listed price stays with the painting and the people who made it. Anything extra goes to flood victims in Nepal.
Each painting has its own start and close time. Open a piece to bid, and to see the highest bid.
How it works
That money stays with the painting. It honors the Lama artists and Himalayan artisans who made it by hand, on cotton, with stone color and gold. You pay with Stripe.
The extra is for relief. Bid $140 on a $90 painting and $50 is meant for families hit by the floods. If you win, you pay the winning bid with Stripe after that painting’s auction closes.
When bidding ends, the high bidder is asked to pay. The painting is yours once Stripe confirms the payment.
